Rasoi Bowls & More: Authentic Indian Cuisine in Vestal, NY

Tried their buffet ($22) and we thoroughly enjoyed it. He seems to have thought through in deciding the menu, as it does not let down the vegetarians (which most of the places do, unfortunately). The menu included Pani Puri, Dahi Wada, salad, Veg Manchurian, Samosa, Chili Noodles, Paneer tikka masala, Dal makhani, Manchow soup, Goat curry, Kadhai chicken, tandoor wings, chicken starter, Naan and Gulabjam. The Gulabjam was soft. Samosas were authentic & crispy. Indo-Chinese were made with proper spices and sauces; not just ketchup & random sauces like other places do.

I came in to order takeout for the family. The food is so delicious, and the people are very friendly. I got the lamb samosa and they were so flavorful. The meals are not spicy but they can be made spicy by request if you mention it to them. Check out their buffet and Binghamton University students, show your ID for a discount (may be restricted to a specific meal or time - inquire further).

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rasoi Bowls and More during a road trip from Buffalo to New Jersey, and I must say, it was an unexpected gem in the middle of nowhere in Binghamton. Tucked away in a seemingly random location, this restaurant surprised us with its vibrant flavors and authentic offerings. From the moment we stepped in, the inviting atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel right at home. We ordered a variety of dishes, and each one was a delightful revelation. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, showcasing a genuine commitment to quality ingredients and traditional recipes. The standout for me was the Paneer Tikka Masala – it was aromatic, packed with spices, and had the perfect texture. The paneer tikka was another highlight, grilled to perfection and served with a tangy mint chutney that complemented it beautifully. Even the vegetarian options were exceptional, making it a great spot for everyone in our group. Surprisingly, the location did not detract from the experience; instead, it added to the charm of discovering such delicious food in an unlikely place. Best Indian food I’ve ever had. Always ask what will go well together. The flavorings are perfect! Some of the best well balanced flavors I’ve ever had. Great chef!!! And he’s super knowledgeable, helpful and positive! Always a plus!

My wife and I were running errands in Vestal, Chenango, and Binghamton. While we were at the Chase Bank in Vestal doing some banking we asked Jake, Associate Banker did he know of any great non-chain restaurants in the area. Jake immediately recommended Rasoi Bowls & More. He indicated that the establishment was a great eatery that was actually attached to a gas station which prepared a lot of fresh meals. Upon entering the name into Google Maps, it showed a new location in the Campus Plaza of Vestal Parkway East. Rasoi Bowls & More is a simple, casual, beautifully decorated, and cozy eatery with great food, beverages, beers, wines and hard liquor. They have a simple menu that is not too busy and it has something for everyone. You can have a delicious and freshly prepared meal coupled with warm, friendly, and attentive customer service. The establishment is a really popular place with the locals and it is definitely a "Refreshing Change from the Chains! It can get very busy in there and so arrive early and you won't be disappointed! Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by Chahna, Server/Co-Owner/Spouse who seated us, provided menus and took our beverage order of water, no ice, and lemons. Subsequently Raul, Chef/Owner came to our table and greeted us. He was very friendly, pleasant, professional, had a genuine smile and a welcoming demeanor. Raul informed us about the very recent opening of the restaurant after operating out of the convenience store area of a gas station for about six months. We congratulated he and his wife on their great achievement and wished them much success. It was a Thursday around 04:30 PM and we had just beat the dinner rush. As an appetizer, we ordered the Chicken Wings (NF). Raul ascertained our likes and spice levels and as an entree, he recommended the Butter Chicken/Makhni (GF) with Basmati Rice for my wife and the Kadhai Chicken (NF, GF) medium spice level between 2 and 3 with Basmati Rice for myself. In addition, he recommended that we try the two Indian beers that they had i.e. Kingfisher Premium Larger and the Taj Mahal Premium Larger Beer which we did and really enjoyed. The Chicken Wings arrived shortly afterwards which we devoured. In short, my wife is not too particular of chicken on the bone and prefers boneless chicken breasts- so I ate 80% of the chicken wings. Our entrees arrived soon afterwards and they were nicely presented, and they looked and smelled very yummy. Everything was simply delicious and our meals were prepared, portioned, cooked to perfection, and served hot. Raul and Chahna were very attentive, friendly, efficient, and happy to help! As a dessert, Raul recommended a delicious and fabulous dessert which you cannot get in most places i.e. Rose Kulfi. Oh my goodness, it was so good... Smooth, creamy, tasty and very refreshing. In short, the great food and awesome customer service made for an awesome dinning experience! Just as important, their bathrooms were beautiful, very clean, and well maintained. We will definitely be returning here when we are in the Vestal, New York area to try their buffet, happy hour, and other menu items.

Somehow Vestal has been blessed with yet another amazing Indian restaurant. Incredible food and very nice owner/server. Best Baingan Bharta I’ve ever had, and the garlic naan was significantly better than most places. We will add this to our favorite places to order and will be back. An absolute delight for Indian food lovers, especially those who crave bold and spicy flavors! Every dish was a burst of authentic taste, leaving me completely satisfied. From rich curries to fiery street food, the experience was nothing short of amazing. Definitely leaving with a happy tummy and wonderful memories!
